JDBC is a program written in Java that makes it possible for Java applications to make SQL statements to a large database such as that of Oracle. There are three different types of these programs namely JDBC KPRB, JDBC OCI, and JDBC thin driver. Oracle can connect to any of these drivers and they differ only in way the connection is made with the database. Thin driver requires no software while the other two require drivers to enable you to connect to Oracle database. If you have got JDBC and looking for its drivers, you can get OJDBC driver download here for free.
